“Cloud Atlas” a movie…?

Good gravy, the Wachowskis have obtained the rights to make David Mitchell’s amazing novel into a film!  I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but we shall see.  It’s one of my favorite books of the last ten years.

The Saw VI Director’s Cut DVD doesn’t officially come out until January 26th, but seems to be making quite a splash already.  I’m not going to comment until the bona fide release, but feel free to imagine me rubbing my hands with glee at the reception of certain scenes…

Up in the Hump

Just got into Amsterdam, having flown in direct from Los Angeles on KLM. Good gravy, it was a fantastic flight! We were up in the Fancy People level of a 747, and the seats had more individually controlled servomotors than the plane itself. I’ve never seen anything like it. If the folks in Economy Class knew what was going on above, there would be mass revolt. In the meantime, of course I’d like another glass of Bordeaux…
